EasyTracker

EasyTracker is a simple, quick, easy to use, and transparent system of paying and tracking taxes.

Why EasyTracker?

Not only do you know exactly how much of your money is going to every taxable service of your choice, you also know exactly what the budget is for each service and its current balance. You also see every taxpayer’s contribution by way of their EasyTracker username, amount they paid, and date they paid it. Furthermore, once a taxable service has all the money it needs for a particular time frame, you will see a message saying, “Project completed! Please check later to pay for this service or pay now toward a different service.” If you decide to go ahead and pay for a ‘project completed’ service, EasyTracker will show a credit, or a surplus, for that service.

How It Works

EasyTracker is currently web-based and there are plans to make an app for it. You log into EasyTracker and immediately get to choose if you want to pay federal or state taxes. Paying federal taxes goes to the entire country and state taxes go to a particular state. Also, if you choose “state” on EasyTracker, you get to choose to pay taxes within a state. You can pay city, county, township taxes, and so on.

The Benefit

Once you select federal or state, EasyTracker gives you choices for where your taxes go. For example, if you select federal, a new screen pops up and gives you all the federal tax choices. The federal departments are all listed: commerce, education, weighs and means committee, and so on. You choose which of those departments you want to send money to. For example, if you want to pay for highways and the military, but not for federal education, you select “transportation” and “defense”. You then tell EasyTracker how much you want to send to each department. You may choose to pay one time or recurring.

Total Transparency!

For the first time in history, our taxes are TOTALLY transparent! Each taxpayer, whether it’s an individual or a business, knows exactly where their taxes are going and how much each taxable service costs! Once your payment is received by the appropriate department, you will see an entry with your username, amount paid, and date received as well as the current amount still needed for that department. Not only will you see YOUR contributions, you will also see everyone else’s contributions. If you own a business, you may consider creating a username which has your business name in it so you can show everyone what you are paying for! Or, of course, you can create a username which keeps your identity private. In this ‘state’ example, the ledger shows how much has been paid toward Ohio’s transportation, by whom, when, and the current balance. Once the balance is zero, a message will appear over the ledger which says, “Project completed! Please check later to pay for this service or pay now toward a different service.”
